Eyes (Make 2)
Black Yarn
4 sc in a magic ring. Close ring and slip stitch in first stitch to close the circle. Fasten Off
I like to add a little highlight using white yarn.
Beak (Make 2)
Buff Yarn
Top Beak - Chain 6 stitches. In the second chain from the hook, slip stitch. Following down the rest of the chain. sc, hdc, dc, dc. Fasten off.
Bottom Beak - Chain 5 stitches. In the second chain from the hook, slip stitch. Following down the rest of the chain. sc, hdc, dc. Fasten off
Sew the top of the beak to the bottom of the beak for each head. Attach the eyes and beaks to the appropriate spots on the head. The beaks tend to curl upwards in a very opened mouth look. If you want it more closed, sew the top and bottom a little closed on the sides of the beak too.

Here is where I used the pipe cleaner. I honestly hate using pipe cleaners but I couldn't get the heads to
hold up without one. I threaded the pipe cleaner through the neck and left about a half inch sticking out of
both ends. I folded the top of the pipe cleaner down so that the metal pointy part wasn't showing. I added
a little bit of stuffing around the pipe cleaner. I just kind of wiggled it in there. To secure the pipe cleaner
I used the ends of the black yarn, I wrapped them around the pipe cleaner and put in a knot around.
I wanted to try and secure the pipe cleaner in place, so it won't come out of the neck during play.
Now use the black yarn to secure the head to one end of the neck and the body to the end of the neck.
Toes/Foot
Worked in continuous rounds with Buff Yarn
3 sc in a magic ring. [3]
Inc in each stitch. [6]
sc in each stitch around
sc in each stitch around
Fasten Off for toes 1 and 2
Follow the same pattern for toe 3 just don't fasten off. Now we will connect the toes.
Sc crochet in the first stitch of the second toe (mark this stitch as the new first stitch of the round). This connects the 3rd and second toe. Sc for 3 more stitches in the second toe, then sc in the first stitch of the first toe. Sc crochet all the way around the toe and then sc back into the second toe. Sc in the remaining stitches of the 2nd toe and then single crochet back into the 3rd toe, all the way around until you get to the first stitch again. You should have 3 connected toes and 18 stitches.
Sc in each stitch around [18]
Time to sew up the holes made in-between the toes, use the ends from each toe to close up the gaps and then weave in the ends.
(dec) around [9]
sc in each stitch around [9]
slightly stuff the toes and foot
(dec) around, you will have to add a decrease using the last stitch of the round and the first stitch.
Fasten off
Repeat again for the second foot
Legs
Worked in continuous rounds with Buff Yarn
Chain 6 and leave a long tail at the beginning.
Sc in the first stitch to form a circle.
Sc in each stitch for 8 rounds
Fasten Off
Stuff Legs, as much as you can get in there without it showing through. Use the ends to sew to the foot
and then the body.
Enjoy!!
What a great looking pattern - must have a go at this. Thank you.
