At this point I weaved in all loose ends and stuffed the Pokeball. Please note: There is some duplicate stitching needed, so if you are more comfortable doing the duplicate stitch prior to stuffing and closing the ball, now would be a good time to add those details.
- (k2tog) repeat until end of round. Using a tapestry needle pull yarn through remaining stitches to close the pokeball
Duplicate Stitching
I went to the front of the pokeball and added some more black bulky yarn to complete the look. I did my stitching between an area of decreases in the red. First I went two rows above the black line and duplicate stitched the middle two stitches. Then one row above the black line and duplicate stitched four stitches, so that the two from above were centered. Then I went below the black line and did four stitches in the center and then two stitches in the center below that.
B=Black Duplicate Stitch
Black Rows are the three rows you knit in black when creating the ball.

Bobble
The next part is how I created white button on the pokeball. I took one DPN and worked flat. I put one stitch on the needle using a slip knot.
Then: knit in the front of the stitch, knit in the back, knit in the front, back, front. You will end up with five stitches on your right needle. Slip one over each stitch until you have one stitch left. Then thread your yarn the stitch to bind off.
Please note: It's a basic bobble, if you are struggling to make one, there are plenty of tutorials online to help.
At this point I weaved in the end from the cast on and turned the bobble on it's side and smooshed it down. Then using the yarn left from the bind off I seamed it to the middle of my black circle created from the duplicate stitch.
There you go you have a poke ball. Enjoy.
